Marijuana is becoming a booming legal business in U.S. and Canada as many states have legalized recreational and medical usage. As in every business, getting high profit margins is important and growers are turning to high tech solutions – thus we are seeing tremendously high impact of IoT for achieving that goal.

Things are simple, everyone can see that with implementation of IoT solutions they are getting more data for analysis and deeper insight for cultivation practice.

Also, it was interesting to see that cannabis companies, like Urban-Gro and GrowLife, are recruiting people form technology fields – some of the most successful young farmers that I know, also have very strong tech background that had a key role in their success.
