This time I’d like to share some social media news with you, since we all think about the possibility that someone will try to use IoT to spy on us and thus in some way try to control us . This is not something new and brought by IoT and we are all anyway carrying smartphones all the time with us, like they are some newly grown body part of ours.

Anyhow, I stumbled on this interesting article with regards to using Big data, AI and internet surveillance to monitor behavior of population in China which is 1.4 billion people. China’s leader Xi Jinping said that technology was the key to achieving “the great goal of building a socialist and modernized nation.” As some may be wondering if this data driven governance represents viable alternative to democratic electoral model, please take some time and read the article carefully to see in which way things may go.
